Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hanna:
You may recall that as part of the rezoning of Big Island in
1983, you signed a copy of a resolution which granted a permanent
lot area variance allowing you to continue to use, remodel , or
rebuild your cabin without having to appear before the City
Council. �
Because City Planner Alan Olson left the City of Orono about that
same time to take another job, your signed resolution and a few
others were filed away without ever being approved by the
Council. We are just now in the process of reviewing these
resolutions, and note that the "Council adoption date" blank was
inadvertantly filled in by you. This makes it impossible to file
this in the chain of title of your property, so we need you to
re-sign a new form (3 copies attached - sign and notorize all 3
and return all 3) which will be brought before the Council this
spring f or approva 1 , and then a f ina 1 copy returned to you f or
your files.
