Re: Spring Hill Golf Club Plan Review
Dear Mr. Anastasia:
The plans have been reviewed for the remodel of the kitchen at the Spring Hill Golf
Club, 725 County Road 6, Orono, MN, and the project is approved to move forward.
The following items are to be addressed as part of this approval:
1 . Ensure that a six-inch overhang, minimum, is maintained by the hood over
the front edge of convection oven.
2. Ensure sufficient lighting is maintained over the ice machine to provide for 70
footcandles of light.
3. Ensure that the floor drain for the condensate waste of the ice machine is
located near the front edge of the ice bin for cleaning and maintenance and is
not located within the walkway, where condensate lines would provide a
tripping hazard. If the drain cannot be located other than in the walkway, an
alternative location should be submitted for the ice machine.
4. Water lines to the ice machine must be bracketed for cleaning, if adjacent to
the wall.
5. The Superior heat famp does nc�t apNear to have listirg to t!-�e NSF (Natianal
Sanitation Foundation) standards. Please submit documentation to this effect
or for an alternative make and model listed to the standards, by either NSF,
ETL or UL-foodservice division.
6. The removal of the three compartment warewashing sink is only permitted if
all items can fit into the warewashing machine for cleaning and sanitizing.
The owner should be aware that without the backup of the three compartment
sink for manual warewashinq operations mav need to be temporarily shut
down or restricted if the warewashinq machine is not functional.
7. Plumbing plans and permits should be submitted to the City of Orono building
department for approval prior to starting work.
