The size of the reprint depends on what size the customer wants and the size of the original drawing.
Sometimes the customer wants the reprint to be the same size as the original,but it could also be smaller
or larger.

Instructions for Reprints of Oversized Documents
or Building Plans and Blueprints

Description of Process
Microfilm is scanned and a digital image is created. The digital image is then sent to another department
to be plotted out and printed to bond paper. The"blowback"process is no longer used.

Schedule a Job
1. Have the customer complete the Request for Reprint form and pay for the estimated charges.
2. Go to Water Plant and pick up microfilm in the jacket to be sent to ARC.
3. Provide instructions for the reprint job (sample attached-3rd page of X:�Data�Administrative
Support\(Instructions-Procedures)�Reprints of Oversized Documents-instructions.doc).
3. On the envelope, indicate:

4. Call ARC at 763-694-5900 and ask for Communications. (You could also ask for Grant or Sam`� '
and they can schedule the pickup.) Request a driver to pick up microfilm that is to be scanned
and reprinted to bond paper.
5. Allow 24 hours for most jobs to be returned.
6. Return microfilm in jacket to the Water Plant.
