Re: Re-roofing back building on upper lot
We propose to provide all necessary labor and material for the completion of the following:
l. Remove loose gravel.
2. Remove edge metal, sewer stack, and chimney flashing.
3. Haul away all debris.
4. Install 2x4 to perimeter to accommodate insulation and edge metal.
5. Install 1'/�" ISO insulation mechanically fastened to the roof with screws and disks.
6. Install a fully adhered 60 mil e.p.d.m. (rubber) roofing system.
7. Make roofing connections to all penetrations in good conformance to e.p.d.m. details.
8. Install new plumbing boot and counter-flash chimney with metal.
9. Install new edge metal with keeper system.
10. Strip-in edge metal with 6" uncured e.p.d.m.
11. Provide building permit.
12. Provide an eight-year labor guarantee.
All work will be completed in a professional workmanship manner and according to state codes. The
area will be picked up and left clean.
Total cost: $15,000.00

Re: Re-roofing back building on upper lot
We propose to provide all necessary labor and material for the completion of the following:
1. Remove loose gravel.
r 2. Retnove edge metal, sewer stack, and chimney flashing.
3. Haul away all debris.
' 4. Install 2x4 to perimeter to accommodate insulation and edge metal.
5. Install 1'/2" ISO insulation mechanically fastened to tl�e roof with screws and disks.
6. Install a fully adhered 60 mil e.p.d.m. (rubber) roofing system.
7. Make roofing connections to all penetrations in good conformance to e.p.d.m. details.
8. Install new plumbing boot and counter-flash chimney with metal.
` 9. Install new edge metal with keeper system.
10. Strip-in edge metal with 6"uncured e.p.d.m.

12. Provide an eight-year labor guarantee.
All work will be completed in a professional workmanship manner and according to state codes. The

The panels only sit up about 1.5 feet they sit very flush on the racking we are using.We will not put the wire in the air and in this case probably will not even
have to bury it if we are able to tie into the existing panel on the building,if not we will trench to the meter or try to run through existing conduit.
I am confused about the screening.What does that mean exactly?I have never hear of it.

1. Is the height as shown in the brochure?The city code allows for 5" maximum above the roof.
2. The city code requires the panels to be 10 from the property line and allows a maximum of 70%roof coverage.

Hi Lyle,
With the weather finally beginning to take a turn for the better I am getting ready to start on the project for Steve Wagner at 3607 Shoreline Drive.
Regarding the questions below and the screening.The top edge of the panel is only going to be about 16 inches above the roof.Because the panels are
going to be so low I do not think that screening will be an issue at all as it will be pretty hard to see them and any screening that we put up is going to
interfere with production due to the fact that the panels sit so low.
Regarding#4.We should be able to tie into the 200A panel located in the existing building.Should we need to run wire to the meter it will be done
underground.If we had to take this route and trench a wire is there anything other than a dig ticket that the City of Orono requires?

The city needs more information to complete the review of your application for 3607 Shoreline Drive.
1. Is the height as shown in the brochure?The city code allows for S" maximum above the roof.
2. The city code requires the panels to be 10 from the property line and allows a maximum of 70% roof coverage.
Please submit the attached survey showing these requirements.
3. The city code requires panels to be screened. If they can be seen from the ground please show the location and
type of screening proposed.
4. Please note the city requires wiring to be under ground.
Once we receive these items the review can proceed. Please feel free to contact me at my office if you have any
