78-1466(8) Tenr�ora�7�srgns.
a. There shall be no more than four temporary business signs issued per calendar year,and for a period of iwt more than teii days per
time or of Uie duration of the event promoted by the sign message,whichever is less.The sign(including banners or balloons),sign supports or
portable stand shall be removed t'rom public view at die end of the period.Total azea of the sign shaU not e�ceed 32 square feet per surface(64
square feet total signage allowed for two-sided portable sign).Advertising balloons are not subject to area restrictions but must meet all
applicable federal and state standards.
b. There shall be no more than one temporery sign in any required yard aren,and,ifseparate multiple signs are proposed,U�e total area
of the signs shall not erceed 32 square feet.Temporary business signs require a building permit from the city.No such pennit shall be issued by
the city if a conditional use pero�it under section 78-1467(I)c has been issued to a residential property.No temporary sign shall be allowed in
residential wnes unless permi[ted as election or sale signs under this section.Multitenant buildings shall be considered as u single property for
purposes of subsection(8)of this section;a�id U�e use of the single temporary business sign by tenants on the property shall be the responsibility
of the property owner or designated manager,who shall endorse in writing all applications for sign permits.
c. The owner or manager of the sign and the owner of the property shall be equally responsible for the proper location,maintenance and
removal of the sign.All ten�porary signs shall be located on a property so that they do not impede safety by obstruc[ing vision of pedestrians or
motor vehicle operators.
Sec.78-1468.Sigis in B and I districts.
Within the B and I districts,nameplate signs and business signs are pem�itted subject to the following regulations:
(1) B-1,B-2 and B-4:size.Within the B-1,B-2 and B-4 districts,the aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not
exceed the sum of one square foot for each front foot of building,plus one square foot for each front foot of lot not occupied by a building.No
individual sign shall exceed 50 square feet.
(2) B-3:size.Within the B-3 district,the aggregate squaze footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the sum of four square
feet per front foot of building,plus one square foot per front foot of property not occupied by a building.No individual sign surface shall eaceed
100 square feet.
(3) I:size.Within any 1 district,the aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the sum of four square leec
per front foot of building,plus one square foot per front foot of property not occupied by a building.No individual sign surface shall exceed 100
square feet.
(4) B-1,B-2 and B-4:height.Within the B-1,B-2 and B-4 districts,no sign shall extend in height more tha��two feet above the
highest outside wall or parapet of any principal building,nor shall a�iy sign be located closer than ten feet t�om any property line;except that a�iy
sign over ten square feet mny project two feet into a�iy required yard area from die principal building.
(5) B-3 und 1:height.W ithin any B-3 or l district,no sign shall extend in height more than six feet in height above the highest
outside wall or parapet of any principal building.No sign shall be located closer than ten feet from any property line,ercept that any sign
exceeding ten square feet qnay project only two feet into the yard area from any building.

Please Note: Tl�is is only an application for a permit. Do not erect the sign until you have received the
permit. A double fee will be charged for any sign erected prior to obtaining a permit. Incomplete
applications will not be processed.
