Gentlemen/Ladies:
Subject: REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION regarding plumbing at O'Reilly Auto Parts,
3424 Shoreline Dr,Orono,Hennepin County,Minnesota,Plan No.PLB 1104-00015
We are NOT able to grant approval at this time of the plans and specifications submitted for the above-
designated project.The following comment(s)outline the changes and/or additional information that must be
submitted so that we can further evaluate the plans and specifications for compliance with the standards of this
department:
l. A common vent may serve two similar fixtures if each fixture drain connects independently to a vertical
drain at the same level.Otherwise, individual vent pipes must be provided on the dedicated fixture branches
(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2580, subpart 1).Provide revised plans that show code compliant vents in
the following locations:
a. The back-to-back water closets.
b. T'he sanitary branches serving the floor drains in the back-to-back restrooms.
2. The plans indicate that an eyewash,with a six foot flexible hose supplied from the cold water faucet fitting
on the mop sink,will be provided.T'he flexible hose may allow the eyewash to hang below the spill level of
the mop sink or a mop bucket,which could result in the contamination of the potable water system. The
ASSE 1001 certified atmospheric vacuum breaker that is provided does not comply with Minnesota Rules,
part 4715.2100,because of the shut-off valve located at the end of the hose and downstream of the vacuum
breaker, and an alternate installation is required.Provide revised plans that show a code compliant
installation. �
3. Waste receptors receiving indirect waste may not be installed in any toilet room(see Minnesota Rules,part
4715.1590, subpart 1).If the mop sink will be used to receive indirect waste,it must be located outside of
the restroom.
Please submit the requested information promptly so we may complete our plan review. No construction related
to the above-referenced plans shall begin until approval is provided by our office. When submitting additional �
