Good Morning Robin,
No permit will be required by the Minnehaha Creek watershed if you are not disturbing 5000 sq yards of
earth or grading, excavating or filling more than 50 cubic yards of soil. If this addition is using the same
footprint as your old deck than you are not working in a floodplain and I do not see any protected
wetlands on your property, so none of our rules are triggered to require a permit.
Good luck with your project and thank you for checking first to see if a permit would be required for this
project.

Good Morning, We are planning to add a 400 Square foot addition onto the back
of our home this summer. The addition will not require the removal or
replacement of more than 50 cubic yards of soil nor will it cover or disturb more
than 5,000 square feet. The grade for this addition will not be changed or
altered at all from our existing landscape.

1. The survey should show where the erosion control is going to be installed.
2. There appears to be a proposed retaining wall north of the proposed steps which does not have the top and
bottom of wall elevations.

Good Morning Christine, I received a letter regarding a final inspection on our remodeling project for 2080
Shoreline Drive. The project is completed with the exception of railings on the back upper deck. These will
be ordered soon and installed this spring. I have some panels here so the inspector can see what is going in.
Weather has not been cooperative to get that project completed. We are happy to have things inspected
anytime it is convenient if they want to forgo that piece or we can delay the final until railings are in place. Let
