Dear Sirs:
I am the homeowner of 2058 Shoreline Drive, Orono, 55391. My wife and I also own the
strip of land on Lake Minnetonka a�cross Highway 15 where we (and many previous owners)
have a permanent��vooden platform and a seasonal boat dock. The shoreline is rock ribbed
and has no potential for soil erosion.
We wish to engage Tongen Tree Service to remove dead trees on the north side of the
wooden platform and less than 45 linear feet of invasive buckthorn growth between them.
To prevent any soil disturbance we shall leave the cut stems and roots in place and we expect
that the buckthorn will re-grow. No herbicides will be used. Water qualiry will not be
affected.
We discussed this plan with Roger Peitso on site on October 12, 2016 and he recommended
that I submit this plan as part of my application for this permit.
I have enclosed a "not to scale" sketch of the site as he requested.
We would appreciate your prompt consideration of this plan.
