Hello Rachael,
I am requesting that Axel Landscaping send you their specs for paver replacements of our existing driveway.And I will fax
you the documents from MN Roadways. It seems we are just under the limit required for MCWD approval. As you know,
Orono offices are closed at noon tomorrow. I will be going there before they close. Jeremy Barnhart(email is above)will
be handling our request in the absence of Christine Mattson tomorrow.
MN Roadways: As stated on the phone, we are removing 388 square yards of asphalt and concrete and replacing that
section with 388 sq yards of asphalt only. I will try to email their proposal but may need to fax it.
Axel Landscape: And we are removing 2900 sq feet of additional concrete and replacing that section with 1773 square
feet of pavers. I believe they will able to email their documents directly.

1940 Shoreline Drive
The City received a zoning permit application for replacement of an existing driveway and turnaround. Staff conducted
a preliminary review based on the information provided and recommends the following items be submitted or revised
in order for your application to be considered complete and for the plan review to continue:
1. Escrow&Escrow Agreement. Permits involving grading and/or review by the City's engineer require submittal
of an escrow and an escrow agreement. The purpose of the escrow is to guarantee reimbursement to the City
for out-of-pocket costs incurred during the review of your plans. Additionally this escrow will guarantee
conformance with City Code Chapter 79 relating to erosion control and stormwater. The required escrow
amount for this project is $2,000. The escrow agreement is enclosed. The property owner must sign the
enclosed agreement and submit a check for$2,000.
Once the project is complete and all disturbed area have been established with vegetation or covered with
fabric and rock or mulch a final inspection should requested by calling 952-249-4600. The inspector will verify
there is no exposed soil and confirm the driveway was constructed according to the approved plan. After you
receive approval from the inspector, notify me so I can start the escrow refund process.
2. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). Your project may trigger the Minnehaha Creek Watershed
District's (MCWDs) permitting requirements; please contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding
your project. Please note,the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of the MCWD permit
or documentation stating the proposed project does not trigger any of their permitting requirements.
