Re: Tree removal
Dear Mr. Broitzman,
The city is aware that you were responsible for removing a tree that was in the 0 to 75'
zone where tree removal is not allowed. This is a violation of Orono city ordinance#78-
1285. When trees are removed in the 0 to 75' zone the city requires replacement trees of
the same nature and planted at the same setback from the shoreline as the tree that was
removed.
Therefore the city is requiring you to replace the tree with the largest like tree that can be
spaded in as soon as possible. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at
