Re: Fence
Dear Mr. Severinson:
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently constructed a fence on your
property along the channel. This letter is to notify you that Orono City code prohibits fences
or any structures within 75' of the lake and channels.
Therefore the City must require you to remove the fence or if you feel you have a hardship you
may ask the City Council to grant you a variance. The fence must be removed or a variance
application must be submitted before November 7, 1994. If this deadline is not met, the City
may initiate legal action. If you have any q_uestions. feel free to contact me at my office.
