Hi Tim,
As a follow-up to our conversation yesterday-
MCWD rules:
Shoreline Stabilization maintenance with riprap shall be placed no higher than the top of the bank or two feet above the
100 year floodplain,whichever is less.
Floodplain Alteration: No net gain of fill is allowed in the 100 year floodplain.
The pre-existing riprap at 2248 Shadywood Road, Orono is currently installed to the top of the bank. MCWD prohibits
any net increase of fill within the 100 floodplain. Based on the plans that were submitted and the shoreline and
floodplain alteration rules, no permit will be issued for the proposed new boulders nor proposed fill at the lagerstrom
residence, as the plans are not in accordance with District rules.
