RE: Deck Construction
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mack,
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently constructed a deck
on your property at 1978 Shadywood Road. This letter is to inform you that Building
Permits are required for deck construction in the City of Orono and that decks are
required to meet building and zoning code requirements.
Therefore The City must require you to remove the deck or submit a permit application
with building plans, hardcover calculations, and a survey showing the location of the
deck. If the deck is found to be in compliance a permit will be issued. A deadline of
December 15, 2003 has been established for removal or application submittal. If this
deadline is not met The City may initiate legal action. If you have any questions please
