We have the following comments with regards to engineering matters: • The plan provided generally appears acceptable from the City's standpoint. • However, this project may require Minnehaha Creek Watershed District permits. A wall cross-section that shows its distance and elevation relative to Lake Minnetonka would be useful. • This project will disturb more than 10 CY of material within the shore setback zone triggering Orono's sediment and erosion control ordinance. The plan indicates the installation of erosion control blanket at the base of the wall when complete. Silt fence should be installed between the wall and the lake prior to site disturbance. The minimum $2000 sediment and erosion control financial securiry should be required of the owner for this permit.
