Hello Melanie,
Thanks for the return phone call this morning about the retaining wall project at 1860 Shadywood Road. You mentioned
the city engineer would stop by today to look at the completed work and sign off that the work is completed as per plan
and per our discussions.
I am also requesting to you that the 2500.00 escrow check for this project be returned to the homeowners. You said that
this has to go before the City Council for approval and you were hoping to do that in the upcoming February meeting.
I appreciate all your help with completing this project and now with our new retaining wall replacing those old railroad ties
that were about ready to collapse into the lake the homeowners and i feel much better.
I will be checking back with you today to confirm the inspection by the city engineer was completed at the site.

Attached are City of Orono's Survey requirements. Make sure the surveyor receives a copy of this and
completes all the applicable requirements. If you are proposing any grading/changes in grade or plan to install
or construct any additional features, these must be included on the survey also. I have also attached a copy of
the permit for Retaining Walls. This permit also address land alternations, tree removal, etc. Check all boxes
that apply.
