Hi Rick,
We have the wetland on-site classified as a Preserve wetland.That means there is a 75'wetland buffer required on the
wetland edge that is downgradient from construction that will be recorded by declaration.The City has a setback in
addition to the District's buffer.
If there are any proposed impacts to the wetland,you will have to apply for wetland replacement plan approval. In the
application,you will have to show two feasible alternatives that do not impact any wetland. If there are no other
feasible alternatives,you will have to show that the impacts proposed have been minimized to the extent possible. If
there are no other feasible alternatives and you have minimized impacts,you might be able mitigate on site(if there is
room). Or,you may be able to purchase bank credits from a wetland bank located in the same Major Watershed
(Mississippi Metro) as the impacted wetland.
What is the proposed project on the parcel?

Courtney,
I am working with my client on a property @ 1745 Shadywood Rd in Orono.
We received the approved delineation report and I have a couple of questions.
1) Can you tell me what the setback is from the edge of the wetland for both structure and impervious surfaces.
2) Do we still have options for mitigation of the wetland. Either on site or thru the wetland bank.
