A summary of the inspection is below. Sepdc Tank Condition 1. Pumpout not needed at this dme. The sepric system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot sepazation distance between the bottom of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code,not a City Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic system must be replaced by December 31,2010. Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regulaz basis. Also enclosed is a fact sheet eYplaining how a septic system functions properly. POTENTIAL FOR SYSTEM FAILURE: (system age and condition, soils, etc.) : low CONIIvIENTS: In order to confirm that your septic system meets Minnesota standards, soil borings were performed to verify a 3 foot separation between the drainfield and the seasonal water table. The separation is 1 foot and the system is non-compliant. Repair or replacement of the septic system is required by 12/31/2005.
