Dear Izabella;
The City of Orono will provide replacement evergreen trees,on your property, along North Brown
Road. It appears that the existing dying trees were damaged as the result of standing water by the
trees. This drainage problem was the result of the reconstruction of North Brown Road from a rural
ditch section to an urban section with curb and gutter and storm sewer.A site inspection in the spring
of 1997 found a catch basin that was installed too high causing water to back up on to your property.
This catch basin was lowered to improve the drainage from the azea of the trees.
The trees will be replaced in the spring of 1998. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Please
