Dear Resident:
I have visited your neighborhoad/area and found your
re5idence does not comply v��ith the Fire Code. It is very
important that your acldress is posted so that the police and fire
department. can locate your property in case of emergency.
Duty of Owner or Occupant. The owner or occupant of every
occupied praperty anci every house or other building shall �
place on such buildinq the proper street number far such
building, either by paintzng �r aifixing such nut�ber so that
the number shall be clearly vi.sible from the aidewalk or
street.
Where the house is not visible from the street or privnte
road, or is located more than 300 feet from such street or
road, an additional set of numbers shaJ.l be placed on a sign
at the driveway apron wiL-h numbers visible in both
directions of travel on the street.
Where more than one house is served by the same private
driveway or unnamed private road, additional sets of numbers
shall be placed at every fork or other driveway as necessary
to direct traffic to every house including the house
farthest from the stre�t.
Numbers placed on mailboxes are insufficient except when
maflbox stands on subject property, not across a publ.ic
street, and not in a qroup of mailboxes more than one in
nwnber.
