Dear Mr. Oman,
Once again, we are quite confused by your latest letter dated February 7, 2014. You submitted with it a
photo with a red arrow pointing what you call a"Tower". We disagree with the City's assessment that
what is in the photo is a tower. It is not enclosed, does not consist of a framework of any sort, nor is it
taller than it's surroundings. We will refer you again to the actual definition of "tower"according to
Merriam-Webster.com (we will reattach actual photos of towers for your reference):

1. a building or structure typically higher than its diameter and high relative to its
surroundings that may stand apart (as a campanile) or be attached (as a church belfry) to a
larger structure and that may be fully walled in or of skeleton frarrzework (as an observation or
transmission tower)
Considering that there is no tower located on our property, there is no reason for you to request
hardcover calculations, a survey or any other items for which you have not required of other residents
for similar projects.
You continue to threaten us with potential legal action and are doing so with no specific knowledge
regarding this project and we are confident our project does not need an electrical permit nor a building
permit given the Orono city code when the project was started in September of 2013. Once again, you
can make an appointment with Mr Nygard (952-334-6400)to discuss this latest project, as we are sure
you do with any other Orono resident.
We expect a prompt and timely response to this letter as you have set in motion a deadline of February
18, 2014 for the submittal of expensive and time consuming documentation that we are not required to
file with Orono, and that you do not require from other residents. Assuming this is simply a mistake on
your part, as there is no Tower on our property, we would like to put this matter behind us and move
forward.
