Dear Dawn:
The City of Orono has been asked to respond to the question as to the rebuilding of the house located
at the above referenced property being destroyed and if a residence structure could be rebuilt on
property. The City would require, at a minimum, an area and lot width variance before a residence
structure could be rebuilt on property. The property is located in a one acre zoning district with a
required lot width of 140'at the shoreline and at the 75' setback from the Ordinary High Water Level
of 929.4 (OHWL for Lake Minnetonka).
The property is served by municipal sewer and the size of the lot appears consistent with the existing
pattem of development of the adjacent Rest Point neighborhood. Please contact my office if you
have any further questions conceming this property.
