No matter j what side of my house I store my 25 foot boat the violation will occur. ! i My feeling is that as a property owner and tax payer, my property is my own jand I will do with it as I want in this particular area. I intend to store my k possession (boat)on my property in the least offensive location. If the city I wants to pay an inspector to monitor properties for violations that is iYs right. However, it is my right for due process and I will exercise that right bringing the city into court every year in protest. The reason for this attitude is that it will still be cheaper for me to do that than to have the i boat stored offsite. After discussing this situation with other boat owners in the city this appears to be a consensus. I understand that the Line family is bringing pressure upon the city to do something to further restrict storage laws for their own benefit. I will organize boat owners Of the city to bring a greater amount of pressure if i necessary to achieve a more lax standard. What are my choices? You will be backing me into a corner. I iAs for the required fencing, tell me, how do you place a twenty foot high fence along a property line and not affect our neighbors?Which is more ! offensive the boat for Q months or a twenty foot high fence year round? G If the city choses to seectively issue tickets, I'd be careful of lawsuits ! based on discrimination. i On a different note, when the paving crews came through our neighborhood last fall I sent an email voiCing my objection to their unauthorized appropriation of a portion of my property minor as it was 6 to 8 inches of asphalt was laid over my grass along tlle west 104 feet and south 150 feet of my property. I i voiced the concern toa city worker and the paving crew and followed their instructions to contact the city. No response to this complaint was issued by j i the city. What can be done about this? Eagerly awaiting your response, ( I David B.
