� <br /> Sec.13.0-i RIGHTS OF SLJB.JECTS OF DaT� <br /> Subd. 1. Type of data. The righcs of individual on whom[he data is stored or w be scored shall be as set forth in this secdon. <br /> Subd.�. Informaaon reqirired to be�ven individual. An individual asked to suppiy private or confideorial data concerning himseif shall <br /> be informed of: (a)the purpose and inrended use of the requested data within the collecting'state agency, polidcal subdivision, or sratewide rystem; <br /> �b)whe[her he may refuse oi is legally required to suQply tbe requested da[a;(c)any known consequence arising from his supptying or refusing to suppty <br /> private or conndendal data;and(d)the idenrity of o�er persons or enrides au�horized by state or federal law to receive the data. After an individual has been shown the privat�data and iniormed of its meaniag,the data need not be disclosed to hirn for <br /> six months[hezeafter unless a dispute or action pursuant to this secaon is pending or addiaonal data on[he individual has been coilected or created. <br /> The responsible au[horiry shall provide copies of che private or public data upon request by the individual subject of the data. The responsible au[horiry <br /> may require the requesdng person to pay the acnial cos[s of making. certifying, and compiling the copies. <br /> The responsible au�horiry shall comply immediacely, if possibte, wi[h any request made pursuant to this subdivision,or wichin five days of <br /> the dace of che requesc,exctuding Sacurdays,Sundays and fega]holidays,if immediate compliance is not possible. If he cannoc comply with the requesc <br /> within that time,he shall so inform[he individual,and may have an addidonal five days within which to compiy wich the request,exc(uding Saturdays, <br /> Sundays and legal holidays. <br /> Subd.4. Procedure when data is not accurate or complete. An individual may contest the accuracy or comple[eness of public or pri��ate <br /> data conceming himself. To exercise[his rieht,an individual shall noafy in writing the respoosible au[horiry describing the nature of the disagreement. <br /> The responsible authoriry shall within 30 days ei[I:er. (a)correc[che dara found to be inaccura[e or incomplete and attempc to nodfy past recipienu of <br /> inaccurate or incomplete data, including recipiea�s named by �e individual; or(b)nodfy the individual that he believes rhe dara to be correct.
