Attached is some factual backcround regarding this issue, <br /> together�vith a drawing which depicts some aspects of the water draina;e issue. <br /> Eis you can see from the enclosed, the Howells recently coi�structed a private <br /> drainage system which has the effect of discharging inost of the runoff from their <br /> propei-ty onto our pro�erty. It is our understanding that this �vork required a permit <br /> pursuant to City of Orono ordinance Section 58-2, SuUd. 1(b). We also understand <br /> that the actions of the Howells canstitutes a misdemeanor pursuant to City of Orono <br /> ordinance Section 58-2, Subd. 1(d) and (e). <br /> The purpose of this letter is to request that the City oi Orono enforce its <br /> ordinance and require that the Howells direct the outlet for their drain tile systein so <br /> that it runs do�vn their own hill, lceepin�the draina�e on their own property rathez� <br /> than allo�ving it to discharse onto our property. <br /> 'VVe ��vould appreciate a written response from yoLi within the next seven (7) <br /> days. Please advise if we should be spealcing to another City official about this matter <br /> instead of your office.
