Christine Mattson
From: jeff jaglo <jjkrjcon@comcast.net>
Sent: Thursday, December 01, 2016 12:18 PM
To: Christine Mattson
Subject: RE: 570 Orono Orchard Road S/#2016-01472
Christine,
Maybe some confusion here.
I was under the impression that our survey for the project showed existing structure. That survey is the same survey
that's been submitted for the new structure being built on the site.
And I think it also shows erosion control that's been placed and has been inspected/approved by MCWD.
I wasn't aware they would need a separate erosion permit and inspection for demo. But maybe they would approve it as
it's the same for both and they've already looked at it.
We're working on that this afternoon.
There is a small storage shed on site that we may leave in place if it does not interfere with the new structure. Might be
handy to store small construction tools/equipment during construction process.
The rest of the misc debris out there will either be picked up, raked up,or shoveled up and tossed into a dumpster.
Biggest part of the cleanup is the pile of tree branches/logs at rear of property. We will have a tree service out to take
that away.
Jeff jaglo
From: Christine Mattson [mailto:CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us]
Sent: Thursday, December 1, 2016 11:47 AM
To: 'jell jaglo'; 'John Brunello'
Cc: Melanie Curtis
Subject: RE: 570 Orono Orchard Road S/ #2016-01472
Jeff,
A demolition permit application requires the following submittals:
1. A survey, aerial photo,or sketch plan be submitted showing all structures to be removed.
2. A survey, aerial photo,or sketch plan to be submitted showing the erosion control measures.
3. Contact the MCWD to determine if the demolition requires a separate permit from them or if it's covered under
the erosion control and stormwater management permit#16-619 for the new construction. They should send
us an email with their decision.
Please submit the above information so we can proceed with our review of the demolition permit.
I understand you will be cleaning all miscellaneous debris from the property at the time of demolition. The aerial photo
shows a small shed/accessory structure in the rear yard,to the east of the home. This does not show up on the
proposed survey. Will this structure also be removed? Please provide clarification.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Christine^'
1
