No. 627
951 Katydid Lane NE • St. Michael, MN 55376 • (612) 497-3566
November 24 , 1992
DEC 2 1 1992
Richard Raiche
280 Orono Orchard Rd.
Orono, Henn. Co. , MN
A Site Evaluation was completed on this property for_0n-Site Sewage
Treatment.
This site has an existing failing system with surface discharge
due to strong clay soils & a high seasonally high water table,
mottled soil ( highest known saturated layer of soil) .
Soil borings indicate a Pressurized Mound System will need to be
installed for repalcement. For a five bedroom home the area
needed is approx. 40 ' x115 ' . The only available area is located
south of the driveway at the base of a slope. This area is low
and to install a system recommend to install an Interceptor Drain
uoslope of the system. Also the area has potential for flooding.
A diversion will need to be excavated to drain overflow from a pond
south of this area. The diversion may be drained to the northeast
to a wetland. This area is low and is not the best soil for locating
a Pressurized Mound System but is the only area available.
Additional Soil Borings & Percolation Tests will need to be completed
to complete a Design for this property. See Site Plan for available
area.
Steven B. Schirmers CU
