Attached you will find a flow chart that outlines the process of getting a wetland protection permit with the MCWD.The
wetland protection permit from 2010 for this property has expired (expired in 2013). If you do not have a recent
wetland delineation report you will need a new delineation done for your site. The next step is to fill out a state wetland
boundary and type application (see attached),along with a Minnehaha Creek Watershed District permit application
(attached).
After the state wetland boundary and type application has been reviewed in the office, our wetland specialist conducts
an on-site review during the comment period to confirm the wetland boundaries.On-site reviews only occur during the
growing season. If it is too late in the season (first frost),the review process will continue in the spring.
A MCWD wetland protection permit requires a 25', no-mow wetland buffer from the edge of the delineated wetland,
which will need to be added to the survey after the delineation boundaries have been approved.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Terrence Chastan-Davis
District Representative
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
15320 Minnetonka Blvd
Minnetonka, MN 55345
952-641-4581
MINNEIIANA CREEK
WATERSHED DISTRICT
2
