CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> s� G, NO. 6868 <br /> AkESHO° <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> GRANTING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION <br /> TO THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD <br /> OF PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL <br /> ESTABLISHED PER RESOLUTION NO. 6655 <br /> -FILE NO. 16-3822 <br /> WHEREAS, on July 25, 2016, the City Council of the City of Orono (the <br /> "City") adopted Resolution No. 6655 granting preliminary plat and general concept <br /> plan approval for subdivision of property located at 3425 Wayzata Boulevard; and <br /> WHEREAS, City of Orono Municipal Code Section 82-117 establishes <br /> that preliminary plat approval is effective for one year from the date of such approval, <br /> and failure to file a complete final subdivision application within this time period shall <br /> be considered as formal withdrawal of the proposed subdivision; and <br /> WHEREAS, preliminary plat approval runs with the land, not the <br /> applicant; and <br /> WHEREAS, Due to market conditions and other reasons, applicant <br /> Lakewest LLC is planning to temporarily delay development of the property but wishes <br /> to maintain the ability to proceed with the development at a future date in accordance <br /> with the prior approvals granted in Resolution No. 6655.; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewest LLC had requested and received a one-year <br /> extension of the effective period of preliminary plat and general concept plan approval, <br /> to July 25, 2018 via resolution 6761. <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewest LLC has requested a second one-year extension of <br /> the effective period of preliminary plat and general concept plan approval, to July 25, <br /> 2019. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City <br /> Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> 1. The effective period of preliminary plat approval is hereby extended to <br /> July 25, 2019; and <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
