esLON4) CITY OF ORONO <br /> ' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> yF r� fi NO. 6 8 6 2 <br /> 4lkESH09- <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING <br /> SERGEANT SCOTT BORIS <br /> FOR HIS <br /> TWENTY SIX YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE <br /> TO THE CITY AS A POLICE OFFICER <br /> WHE ' AS, Scott Boris was appointed to the position of Police Officer on February <br /> 11, 1992; and <br /> WHEREAS, Scott Boris was as the Orono School District Liaison Officer and <br /> Investigator 1994 through June 1997; <br /> WHEREAS, Scott Boris was promoted to Police Sergeant August 28, 2007. <br /> WHEREAS, Scott Boris was assigned to investigations and provided valuable <br /> experience and played a significant role in the prosecution of many criminal cases. <br /> WHE AS, his years of service as Police Officer has been characterized by his <br /> dedication to roviding the highest quality police service to the city and its citizens; <br /> WHE AS, Scott Boris has provided service to the community in a fair,respectful, <br /> honest, trustw rthy, and selfless manner and; <br /> WHE AS, Scott Boris is resigning from his position as Police Sergeant effective <br /> May 14,2018 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does <br /> hereby recognize and commend Sergeant Scott Boris for his leadership,and dedicated service <br /> to the community as Police Officer. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does hereby extends its <br /> best wishes to Sergeant Scott Boris. <br /> Adoptd by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this 14th <br /> day of May, 2;18. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> / fi.... ,_:1„44/, rii.... , <br /> Anna i arlson,City Clerk Denny Walsh, Mayor <br />
