This gradual filling now restricts the natural or historic flow of drainage to the
south.placed a natural flow of drainage to the south.
The City will be sending a letter to the property owners advising them of this problem and
recommending a meeting with staff and the City Engineer. Hopefully, at these meetings we will
be able to determine the best means to restore natural drainage and an approximate schedule for
remedial land alteration.
Some of the options that the City will recommend will be either the installation of an
underground drainage tile or a grassed swale. The City normally encourages grassed swales
because of the problems with the maintenance of an underground drainage tile.
Please advise if you wish to be present at any of the meetings that we schedule with the two land
owners. Failing to hear any further from you, we will keep you posted as soon as our meetings
have resolved a time schedule for the necessary repairs to restore drainage.
Sincerely, /
2L1(....11,p_i (,( .
Jeanne A.
