CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> yF k NO. 6861 <br /> t'kES H O9' <br /> A RESOLUTION TO ISSUE A RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT <br /> FOR LANDINGS AT LONG LAKE DEVELOPMENT <br /> TO ACCESS OLD LONG LAKE ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, The Landings Of Long Lake is a proposed Development within the City of <br /> Long Lake that has submitted a Right of Way Permit with the City Of Orono to connect to Old <br /> Long Lake Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Long Lake has granted Preliminary Platt Approval for the <br /> development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Preliminary Platt requires access to an Orono city street; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orono City Code Section 18-136 allows up to two residences to share a <br /> driveway and the proposal calls for four; and <br /> WHEREAS, there is an existing driveway serving three lots that crosses the proposed <br /> development via access easement connecting to Old long Lake Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hennepin County is undertaking a project to reconfigure the intersection; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Orono desires to provide as safe an access to the City road as <br /> possible; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Orono that <br /> that the Right of Way Permit is approved with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The permit shall be issued at the time the City of Long Lake approves the development <br /> agreement. <br /> 2. The access shall consist of a 24 foot wide paved access conforming to Orono City Private <br /> Road Standard. <br /> 3. The access shall serve all seven Long Lake Properties that access Old long Lake Road <br /> through the subject development property. <br /> 4. That the Development Agreement established by the city of Long Lake include language <br /> establishing the maintenance responsibility for the private road/driveway as that of the <br /> development. Proposed Language: The maintenance of the private roadway/driveway as it <br /> lies within the City of Orono's Right of Way shall be the responsibility of the residents of <br />
