We offer the following comments for your consideration:
1. Perimeter erosion control measures(i.e.siltfence,rock entrance)and protection fencing around
septic sites should be installed by the Contractor and inspected by the City prior to any other work.
Contractor must provide minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection.
2. Work in public right-of-way should be coordinated with the City. Contractor should provide
minimum 24 hour notice prior to work.
3. Rain gardens and infiltration trenches should not be installed until upstream areas are permanently
stabilized.
4. Biolog ditch checks should be installed on the swale south of the proposed house leading to rain
garden#1 after grading is complete.
5. Erosion control blanket should be installed on 3:1 slopes after grading is complete.
6. Turf reinforcement mat should be installed on rain garden weir outlets after rain gardens are
constructed.
7. Riprap should be installed on the downstream end of the proposed culvert on the northwest corner
of the large wetland.
8. Trashguards should be installed on all storm sewer aprons.
9. Proposed HDPE culverts draining to rain garden#2 under the proposed driveway should be
installed as RCP. Lack of cover may result in crushing of HDPE pipe, and fluctuating water levels
in the rain garden may result in floating of the HDPE pipe ends.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
Sincerely,
BOLTONLG /
&MENK,
n /
Robert E.Bean,Jr.,P.E.
Water Resources Engineer
