eils • <br /> RECEIVED <br /> Kochi's Soil Testing <br /> Box 81 MAY 2 6 2015 <br /> Loretto, Minn. 55357 <br /> Tel 763-479-2637 <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> Compliance Inspection of an existing Mound System <br /> Bob Rohden <br /> • <br /> 460-Orchad Park Dr., 5/25/2015 <br /> Orono, Minn. <br /> Job Site;Above Address. <br /> Type of drainfield installed—Mound System (Installed---6/19/1992 <br /> Size of Mound; --80 ft. long by 35 ft. wide(Ave, Size) <br /> Rock Bed Size--; 55 ft.long by 10 ft. wide (550 sq. ft. ) <br /> (Sized out for a 4 bedroom home or ¢00 gal/day daily water use) <br /> * Mound System consist of; Topsoil& Sandy Loam-12 inches, Rock–12 inches 12 inches of Sand <br /> (Total mound height-36 inches---3.0 ft.. ) <br /> . Size of Septic Tanks; ---2-1000 gallon sealed tanks <br /> Size of pump tank ---- 1-1000 gallon sealed tank <br /> Upon inspection of the mound system there was not any signs of effluent from the mound system onto to <br /> the surface or into any field tile. <br /> Upon inspection of the house there was not any signs of sewage backing up into the house. <br /> The tanks (septic and pump tank)were probed and the appear to be sealed tanks at this time <br /> Date: 5/15/2015 <br /> The pump was tested out an it appears to be in good working order,also the alarm system was tested and <br /> was working as of this dated 5/15/2015. <br /> Two soil borings were done to determine where the mottled soil level was at; <br /> Soil boring#1 was done in the North West upslope of the mound. <br /> Soil Boring was done approximately 20 ft. West of the mound Northwest upslope toe <br /> (Sand depth is approximately 12 inches (1.0 ft.) below the rock bed.). <br /> Mottled soil was at the following depths; <br /> SB# 1 48 inches (2. 0 ft. below the mound sand depth) <br /> SB #2 29 inches <br /> level) <br /> Mottled soil is consider the high seasonalsaturate soil level hat existoriginal <br /> at duringthetopsoil <br /> seasons. <br /> With the sand depth of- 12 inches ( 1,0 ft.) below the rock bed area in the mound system and <br /> The mottled soil at depths of-48 inches(4.0 ft.)and at 29 inches(2.4 ft.) <br /> The t required 2-foot (24 inches)separation distance from the bottom of the rock bed to mottled soil level <br /> is satisfied. <br /> With the above information this mound system is consider to be A COMPLIANT SYSTEM <br /> According to the current Minn..
