Peterson and Lynae M. L. Peterson, (hereinafter "the <br /> applicants") are owners of the property located at 420 Orchard Park Road within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter "the City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 8, Orchard Park,Hennepin County, Minnesota(hereinafter"the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to renew a variance to Municipal Zoning <br /> Code Section 10.27, Subdivision 5 (B)to permit the property to be a buildable lot where 4.3 acres <br /> exist and 5 acres are required for residential use; and <br /> WHEREAS,on November 13,2000 the City Council adopted Resolution No.4562 <br /> approving a variance to permit the property to be developed with a single family residence; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br /> Commission held a public hearing on November 19, 2001, at which time all persons desiring to be <br /> heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #01-2733. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-1A, Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br /> District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on November 19, 2001 <br /> and recommended approval of the renewal variance by a vote of 6 to 0. <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
