For heat recovery ventilators (HRV) and <br /> energy recovery ventila- tors (ERV) the average hourly ventilation capacity must be determined in consideration of any <br /> reduction of exhaust or out outdoor air intake, or both, for defrost or other equipment cycling. <br /> Continuous ventilation -A minimum of 50 percent of the total ventilation rate, but not less than 40 cfm, shall be provided, <br /> on a con- tinuous rate average for each one-hour period.
