y
t
e" 1340
*,,,,,,,,, CITY of ORONO
*-04-,;pa , _ Municipal Offices
.4 '0' 10 ,G Street Address: Mailing Address:
9kESTA0* 2750 Kelley Parkway P.O. Box 66
Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066
April 18, 1994
Mr. Scott Albers
Rural Route 1, Box 370M
Cushing, Minnesota 56443
Re: 2338 Olive
Dear Mr. Albers:
On April 11, 1994 the driveway at 2338 Olive was excavated to remove the remainder of the
junk which was buried in the abandoned cesspool. A sheet of black plastic, one can of dried
out paint, one can of solid plaster, a few chunks of concrete and a couple beer cans joined the
three car batteries and wheel with tire that were dug up the week before. At a depth of about
30" uniform rock fill was encountered and excavation was halted. The site has been cleaned up
adequately.
One plumbing leak was repaired the same day and several more leaks were repaired on April
13th. The City gave permission to repair the leaks temporarily using the same methods as
originally installed. While these repairs solve the immediate threat of leaky plumbing, they
must be considered temporary only. Please arrange for another inspection when you have
decided with your plumber exactly what permanent repairs will be made.
While inspecting the plumbing, we found some of the duct work is in need of repair. Some
portions have rusted out completely, others have merely fallen apart.
The panels covering the water heater have been removed, satisfactorily completing the repairs
required by April 15th.
Telephone (612) 473-7357 • FAX 473-0510
