<br /> Investigated Area A was examined due to the appearance of a low lying area harboring wetland
<br /> vegetation. Area A did have a dominance of reed canary grass and Kentucky bluegrass and had a
<br /> positive fac-neutral test and geomorphic position. Soils were dry however and did not show any
<br /> prominent hydric characteristics when sampled at the lowest point or the outer reaches of the basin
<br /> area.
<br /> SER believes that this area is not wetland due to the lack of hydric soils and adequate hydrology.
<br /> DISCUSSION
<br /> SER completed all on-site delineations based on the three required technical criteria as outlined by
<br /> the 1987 Manual: the presence of hydric soils, a predominance of hydrophytic vegetation, and
<br /> indicators of wetland hydrology in each basin.The site visit portion of the wetland delineation was
<br /> completed on August 30, 2010.
<br /> SER personnel examined the subject property for areas meeting jurisdictional wetland criteria during
<br /> the site visit and delineated the edge of four basins as being jurisdictional wetland(Figure 5). One
<br /> area(Area A)was examined due to the presence of hydrophytic vegetation but was not delineated as
<br /> wetland because hydric soil was not observed. Detailed soils,vegetation and hydrology data for each
<br /> wetland and Area A is provided in the data sheets of The Technical Documentation Section. A set of
<br /> full-scale figures is given in the Figures section.
