The grass species mix will <br /> be planted at a rate equivalent to 12 lbs.per acre and consists of: <br /> 40%Big Bluestem <br /> 30%Indian Grass <br /> 15%Little Bluestem <br /> 5% Switch Grass <br /> 5% Side oats grama <br /> 5%Canada wild rye <br /> The wildflower species mix will be planted at a rate equivalent to 5 lbs. per acre and consists of: <br /> 17%Black-eyed Susan <br /> 17%Purple prairie clover <br /> 17%hoary vervain <br /> 10%common ox-eye <br /> 10% stiff goldenrod <br /> 8%tall blazing star <br /> 6%fragrant giant hyssop <br /> 6% leadplant <br /> 3%Canada tick trefoil <br /> 3%Bush clover <br /> 2%Wild bergamot <br /> 1%Common milkweed <br /> The process used will include tilling the designated areas and removing the old vegetation from <br /> the tilled up soil. The soil will be raked to a minimum 3"depth to smooth the ground surface, <br /> and the seed will be laid using a broadcast-type spreader. Clean straw will be mulched over the <br /> seeded areas at a rate of Y2 ton per acre and anchored.
