I did not have a file for this property. Based on the submittal it appears that the proposed
driveway disturbance will exceed the 5,000 square foot disturbance threshold and will require buffers. Even if were under
5,000 square feet it looks like they will move more than 50 cy of dirt, however no proposed contours so cannot tell this
for sure.
John
John Smyth
Associate
Direct 651-604-4708
Cell 651-775-5104
john.smythObonestroo.com
Bonestroo
From: Melanie Curtis jmailto:MCurtis@ci.orono.mn.usj
Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2011 12:52 PM
To: John Smyth
Cc: Tom Kellogg
Subject: 85 Old Crystal Bay Rd S
John
I don't know if you remember the Millers at 85 OCB Rd S or not, but they are proposing to utilize additional dirt on their
property to create a new driveway—shown as the hand-drawn circular drive. When we previously met with them they
were proposing to cross the wetland and access the property from the southerly curb cut(from existing) Remember?
Anyway, I cannot find evidence of their new home (permit issued in May 2006) triggering the wetland buffer requirement-
or more specifically don't have evidence that we required them to establish a buffer. I believe this new driveway will do
that. Please confirm or deny.
I need to get back to them by Monday if possible.
Thanks.
Melanie Curtis 952.249.4627 mcurtis cc ci.orono.mn.us
Original Message
From: admin On Behalf Of admin@
Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2011 12:22 PM
To: Melanie Curtis
Subject: Scanned image from MX3100
Reply to: adminci.orono.mn.us <admin(a)ci.orono.mn.us> Device Name: MX3100 Device Model: MX-3100N
1
