§ 3.10 <br /> Subd. 11. Code Requirement. All piping, connections and <br /> appurtenances shall be installed and performed strictly in <br /> accordance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code. Failure to install or <br /> maintain the same in accordance therewith, or failure to have or <br /> permit required inspections shall, upon discovery by the City, be <br /> an additional ground for termination of water service to any <br /> consumer. <br /> Subd. 12. Connection Fees. Service shall be furnished <br /> only after proper application has been made and connection permit <br /> fees paid in full. <br /> Subd. 13. Additional Rules and Regulations. The Council <br /> may, by resolution, adopt such additional rules and regulations <br /> relating to placement, size and type of equipment as it, in its <br /> discretion, deems necessary or desirable. Copies of such addi- <br /> tional rules and regulations shall be kept on file in the office of <br /> the City Administrator, and uniformly enforced. <br /> Source: City Code <br /> Effective Date: 4-1-84 <br /> Subd. 14. Regulating the use of water during periods of <br /> water shortage. <br /> A. Purpose. In order to avoid a water shortage due <br /> to inadequate capacity in water systems, to ensure an adequate <br /> water supply for fire protection, to protect the environment of <br /> Lake Minnetonka, to ensure the protection of subterranean aquifers, <br /> to maintain the quality of domestic water supplies, and to protect <br /> the general health, safety and welfare of the residents, the <br /> following regulations on non-essential water uses shall apply <br /> during periods of water shortages. <br /> B. Implementation of Restrictions. Whenever the <br /> City Council shall determine that a shortage of water threatens the <br /> City, it may enact by resolution the restrictions for non-essential <br /> water use set forth in this ordinance. The resolution shall become <br /> effective 24 hours after passage and publication. <br /> The resolution shall contain the following information: <br /> 1. uses of water that will be restricted; <br /> 2. types of water supply which will be restricted, such <br /> as the public water system, private wells, lake or other surface <br /> water system; <br /> 3. times during which the restriction will apply; <br /> ( 4-1-84) <br /> ORONO CC 49 (7-25-88) <br />
