L. Anchor piping to ensure proper direction of piping expansion and contraction. Install <br /> expansion joints,expansion loops,and pipe guides as indicated. <br /> M. Install vent piping for gas pressure regulators and gas trains,extend outside building,and <br /> vent to atmosphere. Terminate vents with turned-down,reducing elbow fittings with <br /> corrosion-resistant insect screens in large end. <br /> N. Install containment conduits for buried gas piping within building in gas-tight conduits <br /> extending 4 inches minimum outside building and vented to atmosphere. Terminate vents <br /> with turned-down,reducing elbow fittings with corrosion-resistant insect screens in large <br /> end. Prepare and paint outside of conduits with coal tar epoxy-polyamide paint according <br /> to SSPC Paint 16. <br /> O. Install emergency shut off valves furnished by gas equipment suppliers. <br /> P. Install gas pipe with a protective coating when located in areas where contact with <br /> material or atmosphere exerts a corrosive action. <br /> 3.9 HANGERS AND SUPPORTS <br /> A. General: Hangers and supports are specified in Division 15 Section "Hangers and <br /> Supports." <br /> B. Install the following pipe hangers and supports: <br /> 1. Adjustable steel clevis hangers for individual horizontal runs less than 20 feet in <br /> length. <br /> 2. Adjustable roller hangers for individual horizontal runs 20 feet or longer. Adjustable <br /> steel clevis hangers may be used if hanger support rods longer than 12 inches are <br /> used. <br /> 3. Two or four bolt riser clamps for support of vertical pipes. <br /> C. Install vibration isolation hangers on piping as required by Division 15 Section "Vibration <br /> Control. <br /> D. Maximum spacing may be limited by structural loading limitations. Do not exceed 12 <br /> foot maximum spacings,unless resulting structural loading is approved by the Architect. <br /> E. Support vertical runs at each floor. <br /> 3.10 VALVE INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install valves in accessible locations,protected from physical damage.
