2.6 PIPING SPECIALTIES <br /> A. Gas Pressure Regulators: ANSI Z21.18 or ANSI Z21.18a, single stage,steel jacketed, <br /> corrosion-resistant pressure regulators. Include atmospheric vent,elevation compensator, <br /> with threaded ends for 2 inches and smaller and flanged ends for 2-1/2 inches and larger. <br /> Regulator pressure ratings,inlet and outlet pressures,and flow volume in standard cubic <br /> feet per hour of natural gas at specific gravity are as indicated. <br /> 1. Service Gas Pressure Regulators: Inlet pressure rating not less than natural gas <br /> distribution system service pressure. <br /> 2. Line Gas Pressure Regulators: Inlet pressure rating not less than system pressure. <br /> 3. Appliance Gas Pressure Regulators: Inlet pressure rating not less than system <br /> pressure, with capacity and pressure setting matching appliance. <br /> 4. Gas Pressure Regulator Vents: Factory-or field-installed corrosion-resistant screen <br /> in opening when not connected to vent piping. <br /> B. Flexible Connectors: ANSI Z21.24 or ANSI Z21.24a,copper alloy. <br /> C. Strainers: Y pattern,full size of connecting piping. Include Type 304 stainless-steel <br /> screens with 3/64-inch perforations except where other screens are indicated. <br /> 1. Pressure Rating: 125 psig minimum steam or 175 psig WOG working pressure <br /> except where otherwise indicated. <br /> 2. Sizes 2 Inches and Smaller: Bronze body,with female threaded ends. <br /> 3. Sizes 2-1/2 Inches and Larger: Cast-iron body,with flanged ends. <br /> 4. Screwed screen retainer with centered blowdown and pipe plug. <br /> 2.7 PROTECTIVE COATING <br /> A. Furnish pipe and fittings with factory-applied,corrosion-resistant polyethylene coating for <br /> use in corrosive atmosphere. Coating properties include: <br /> 1. Applied to pipe and fittings treated with a compatible primer prior to application of <br /> tape. <br /> 2. Overall Thickness: 20 mils,synthetic adhesive. <br /> 3. Water Vapor Transmission Rate: Maximum 0.10 gallon per 100 square inches. <br /> 4.
