1.3 DESIGN CRITERIA <br /> A. Design: Perform in accordance with applicable codes and standards to safely support <br /> project dead loads,live loads and equipment loads,without excessive stress or deflection. <br /> B. Design Calculations: Performed and certified by Professional Engineer registered in State <br /> of Minnesota experienced in precast,prestressed concrete design and submitted to <br /> Architect upon request. <br /> 1.4 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> A. Submit fabrication and erection drawings in accordance with Section 01300,certified by <br /> Professional Engineer registered in state where Project occurs. <br /> B. Show dimensions,opening sizes and locations,erection details,connection and anchorage <br /> details,steel headers and bearing lengths. <br /> C. State finishes,design loads and estimated cambers. Where fire resistance rated units are <br /> required,provide verification statement on shop drawings. <br /> D. Field verify existing elevations,dimensions and conditions as shown on drawings before <br /> preparation of shop drawings and fabrication of materials affected by existing <br /> construction and report any discrepancies to Architect for resolution. <br /> 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Fabricator: Active member of the Prestressed Concrete Institute,participating in its Plant <br /> Certification Program. <br /> B. Erector: Regularly engaged and experienced in erection of precast concrete units having <br /> requirements similar to this project. <br /> C. Welders: Qualified in accordance with AWS D1.1,current within past year. <br /> D. Testing: Comply with applicable provisions of Prestressed Concrete Institute MNL-116, <br /> Manual for Quality Control for Plants and Production of Precast Prestressed Concrete <br /> Products. <br /> E. Fire Resistance Rated Precast Units: Provide units tested and listed by Underwriters <br /> Laboratories with each unit bearing UL label and marking. <br /> 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> A. Lift and support units at designated points using lifting devices designed for this work. <br /> B.
