Shade trees(2 and 1/2" caliper) are be planted along the west drop off from <br /> the southern cross walk to the northern building entrance,in the large parking <br /> island, along the western edge of the parking lot and drive and along the <br /> northern drop off walk. The City has the right to require additional plantings. <br /> D. Shade,ornamental and evergreen trees shall be planted in groupings around <br /> the new pond,wetland, and along the walk around the school. <br /> E. Two (2)trees to be planted in the parking islands. <br /> F. The Landscape Master Plan with a planting schedule may be phased over <br /> several years. The plant palette shall include trees with good fall color and <br /> winter interest. The plant schedule shall include overstory trees with fall <br /> color and understory trees with seasonal interest. The plan shall also clarify <br /> the areas to be seeded or sodded and clarify wetland plantings and/or <br /> restoration. The City has the right to require additional plantings if the City <br /> determines the plantings provided are not sufficient. <br /> PLANS REQUIRED PRIOR TO BUILDING PERMIT APPROVAL: <br /> 9. A pedestrian crossing shall be provided at the south access. Signing, striping and a <br /> lighting plan for the crossing shall be submitted prior to building permit approval. <br /> The plan shall note the methods that will be used to discourage pedestrian crossing <br /> at the north access. <br /> 10. Based on increased pedestrian crossings from the proposed improvements,a flashing <br /> warning light system or traffic signal shall be provided at the south access pedestrian <br /> crossing. The type of system to be installed will be dependent on conformance with <br /> the warrants for school pedestrian crossings listed in the latest edition of the manual <br /> of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. <br /> Page 6 of 11 <br />
