Floor drains farther than 25 feet from a vented waste pipe shall be vented (see Minnesota Rules, <br /> part 4715.1300, subpart 4). The following comments pertain to the design of the storm <br /> drainage system: <br /> a. A floor drain is shown to be vented on diagram 2/M204 but the vent does not show up on <br /> the floor above, diagram 4/M206. <br /> b. A floor drain located on the main floor is shown to be vented on diagram 1/M205 but the <br /> vent does not show up on the floors above. <br /> c. A floor drain located on the main level is farther than 25 feet from a vented main or branch <br /> as shown on diagrams 2/M205 and 2/M206. <br /> 3. Hubless cast iron pipe with ASTM Standard A888 is specified as rainwater leader pipe material <br /> in Section 221413 of the project manual. This standard is not approved for any kind of <br /> plumbing pipe material inside or outside the buildings. Hubless cast iron pipes used for waste <br /> and vent systems must meet CISPI Standard 301-69T. <br /> Please submit the requested information promptly so we may complete our plan review. No <br /> construction related to the above-referenced plans shall begin until approval is provided by <br /> our office.
