A <br /> City of ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> NO. 2307 <br /> ORONO <br /> A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br /> A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> PER MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTION 10.27, SUBDIVISION 3 (A) <br /> FILE #1219 <br /> WHEREAS, Bruce Olson, an authorized representative of the Orono <br /> Community Church (hereinafter "the applicant") has an interest in the <br /> property located at 770 Old Crystal Bay Road North within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> The West 642.00 feet of Lot 2, Block 1, Crystal Crest, Hennepin <br /> County, Minnesota (hereinafter "property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a <br /> Conditional Use Permit to permit the use of the church buildings for day <br /> care use by the Busy Beaver Day Care per Municipal Zoning Code Section <br /> 10.27, Subdivision 3 (A). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1219. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-1B Single Family Rural <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. On November 23, 1987, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed the <br /> application as proposed and recommended approval of the conditional <br /> use permit that would allow the Orono Community Church to be used by <br /> the Busy Beaver Day Care based on the following findings: <br /> A) The applicant has completed the following improvements to <br /> insure that all fire and safety code standards have been met: <br /> i. Fire extinguishers provided; <br /> ii. Child proof caps on electrical outlets; <br /> iii. Locks on all janitor closets; <br /> iv. Outdoor play area fenced; <br /> v. Designation of all fire exists. <br /> B) The proposed use of the church is in accord with the intent <br /> of the Zoning Code and Comprehensive Management Plan. <br /> C) The operation of the day care will not pose hazards to the <br /> public safety or welfare nor to the property owners within the <br /> adjacent neighborhood. <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
