i
Greenhagon Evaluation&Design
816 So. 10th Street 4 }
Delano, MN 55328 AUS
August 13, 1996
Bob Kurzhals
325 Old Crystal Bay Ro d
Long Lake,MN 55356
SITE SUMMARY
After conducting soil borings across this site, I have come to the nclusion that there is one to two
feet of fill on the entire site. There also is mottle in at 9 to13 incheow the surface in the filled soil
in the mound area. Due to these conditions, this system is an AlI emative septic system per code
7080.0910 and must be approved by the State of Minnesota and t e City of Orono. The only other
option for this site would be holding tanks.
In order to protect public health and extend the life of this system,it h s been oversized. The rock bed
area has been increased from 374 square feet to 450 square feet,an the sand under the rock bed
has been increased to two feet,three inches to give three feet of se ration. It is also suggested to
rough the soil extra deep to loosen the fill. The City of Orono inspect its septic systems every two
years and will schedule additional inspections if a problem is detected on regular inspection.
