SITE EVALUATION REPORT
FOR SCOTT GOLD'I'MITH
ORON09 MINNESOTA
9
-8-81
un October 7-8, lq 1 two sites were tested for the suitability
of supporting a drainfi ld system. The existing house and lot were
tested for an alternate site should the present site ever fail, The
lot was tested for both a primary and alternate site to serve a
lio-: residence,
he percolation holes were dug 3-3.3 feet deep and 6 inches in
otar while the soil borings were dug 6 inches in diameter to the
foot depth and 3 inch s in diameter to the 8 foot depth, rhe per-
colation holes were dug with both power and hand augers while the
-oi, borings were dug w th bucket type hand augers,
1Ll@ alternate site for the existing house was tested to the
Loi-t2 of the present ho se and between the • tap of the small knoll
and the lower area in fr nt. The soils encountered yielded a percol-
ation -rate of 35,6 minut s per inch which is acceptable for a stand-
ard drainfield system,
'.::he site for the neva house yielded• very good soils and had an
averake percolation rateiof 28,8 minutes per inch which would also.,
enable a standard drainf eld system to be• cons-tructed, There is a
sinal ditch or swale abo t a foot deep running through this site
r:icn ri1.l have to be eliminated by either an interceptor draintile
or by grading to divert the runoff water around the site,
additional system design information follows.
