This Section specifies building sanitary drainage and vent piping systems,including pipe and pipe fittings,drainage <br /> piping specialties and drains. <br /> B. The following sections contain requirements that relate to this Section: <br /> 1. Division 2 for foundation drainage,trenching,and backfilling. <br /> 2. Division 7 for fire resistant sealants for use around pipe penetrations of fire rated walls and floors. <br /> 3. Division 15 Section 15010"Basic Mechanical Requirements". <br /> 1.03 DEFINITIONS <br /> A. Building Drain: That part of the lowest piping of a drainage system which receives the discharge from soil,waste, <br /> and other drainage pipes inside the walls of the building and conveys it to the building sewer. <br /> 1. Sanitary Building Drain: A building drain which conveys sewage only. <br /> B. Building Sewer. That part of the drainage system which extends from the end of the building drain and conveys its <br /> discharge to a public sewer,private sewer,individual sewage disposal system,or other point of disposal. <br /> 1. Sanitary Sewer: A building sewer which conveys sewage only. <br /> C. Drainage System: Includes all the piping within a public or private premises which conveys sewage,rain water or <br /> other liquid wastes to a point of disposal. It does not include the mains of public sewer systems or a private or <br /> public sewage treatment or disposal plant. <br /> 1. Sanitary Drainage System: A drainage system which carries sewage and excludes storm, surface and ground <br /> water. <br /> D.
