' 3.02 INSTALLATION OF PRESSURE GAGES <br /> A. Install pressure gages in piping tee with pressure gage valve,located on pipe at most readable position. <br /> B. Install in the following locations,and elsewhere as indicated: <br /> 1. At suction and discharge of each pump. <br /> ' 2. At inlet and discharge of each pressure-reducing valve. <br /> 3. At building water service entrance. <br /> ® 4. At chilled water and condenser water inlets and outlets of chillers. <br /> ' 5. At inlet and outlet of each hydronic boiler. <br /> 6. At discharge of each air compressor. <br /> C. Pressure Gage Needle Valves: Install in piping tee with snubber. Install syphon in lieu of snubber for steam <br /> ' pressure gages. <br /> 3.03 INSTALLATION OF TEST PLUGS <br /> ' A. Test Plugs: Install in piping tee where indicated,located on pipe at most readable position. Secure cap. <br /> 3.04 INSTALLATION OF FLOW-MEASURING ELEMENTS AND METERS <br /> A. General: Install flow meters for piping systems located in accessible locations at most readable position. <br /> B. Locations: Install flow measuring elements and meters in the following locations and elsewhere as indicated. <br /> 1. At inlet of each hydronic coil in air handling units and built-up central systems. <br /> ' 2. At outlet from each hydronic zone. <br /> C. Differential-Pressure-Type Flow Elements: Install minimum straight lengths of pipe upstream and downstream <br /> from element as prescribed by the manufacturer's installation instructions. <br /> ' D. Install wafer orifice-type element between (2) Class 125 pipe flanges, ANSI B16.1 (cast iron) or ANSI B16.24 <br /> (bronze). <br /> ' E. Install connections for attachment to portable flow meters in a readily accessible location. <br /> F. Meters For Use With Flow Elements: Install meters on wall or bracket in accessible location. <br /> G. Install connections,tubing,and accessories between flow elements and meters as prescribed by the manufacturer's <br /> installation instructions. <br /> r3.05 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br /> A. Adjusting: Adjust faces of meters and gages to proper angle for best visibility. <br /> B. Cleaning: Clean windows of meters and gages and factory-finished surfaces.
